Navigating Your EOP Appointment

The Educational Opportunity Program will be offering both virtual and in-person appointments. As such, we have updated our office protocols and procedures.

Please review the information below in order to understand all expectations for individual counseling appointments.

All in-person students appointments will start with a check-in 5-10 mins prior to the appointment start time in 119 Cesar Chavez. Due to in-person check-in requirements, students must arrive to or book their appointments no later 5 mins after appointment start time.

At Check-In Student Expectations ​w/ Intake ​Are:

  • Verbally confirm student is symptom free
  • Verbally Confirm Green Badge
  • Take Temperature in Intake Office

If a student is experiencing any cold, flu, or virus symptoms they should take immediate action to change their appointment to a virtual appointment, reschedule or cancel.

If a student is experience symptoms during the check-in process, the EOP Intake Staff will change appointment to virtual or reschedule.


Waiting for an in-person appointment:

  • Students will only be able to check-in at 119 Chavez. If a student needs to wait for a counselor, they can wait in the atrium or outside of chavez. When a counselor is ready to begin the appointment, the student will receive a google text to alert.


In-Office ​​Expectations:

  • Masks are strongly recommended to be worn during the check-in process for all in-person appointments.
