Get to Know Intake Student Team…

Hi, there! We’re your Intake Student Team! We support EOP’s resource outreach, database management, inventory/organization, and provide guidance to our amazing interns. We work closely with EOP Academic Counselors, interns as well as other staff to foster a welcoming and inclusive space for our community. We are the point-people in maintaining office protocol and professionalism when connecting students to EOP resources. If you have any questions, feel free to ask us any questions when you see us at our spaces!

Intake Student Staff Profiles

Isabella Perez

My name is Isabella Perez (She/Her). I am a 4th year student majoring in Social Welfare and minoring in Chicanx Studies. I am very passionate about education equity and environmental justice. I enjoy working with and learning from individuals of all backgrounds. I am thrilled to be a part of the EOP community as I believe that EOP provides students with key resources and immense support to ensure their success throughout their academic career.

Kori Lee

My name is Kori Lee and I’m one of the Student Intake staff! I’m a third year student studying Sociology and Media Studies. Passionate about social justice, I strive to support and uplift marginalized communities here on campus and beyond. After graduation, I plan to earn an MSW and become a medical social worker. I love the community here at EOP and welcome you to our spaces!

Anyssa Torres

Anyssa is a third year studying sociology and Chicanx/Latinx Studies. Originally from the Central Valley, she is passionate about making higher education (and everything else) more accessible to marginalized communities. In addition to her time with EOP she is an avid reader, writer, cat lover, and Omar Apollo Listener.

Kionna Frierson

My name is Kionna Frierson (she/her). I’m a 4th year student from San Francisco. I’m an African American Studies Major and Public Policy minor. My passion is to provide equitable and accessible resources for low income communities and to have a place at the table of decision making. Being a part of the EOP Intake Team is important to me because as a first generation, low income, underrepresented student of color, navigating Cal can be challenging.

Get Involved: Intake Internship

Join us for a Term!

We offer our Intake Internship in the Fall, Spring, and Summer. Undergraduate students interested in learning more about EOP and want to support its services and programming can partake in the Internship for academic units (1-2 units). This internship also qualifies under the Ethnic Studies Field Units requirement.

Intake Interns are an integral part of our EOP family! Throughout the term, students function as the first point of contact for the community and act as our EOP ambassadors. With our weekly seminar, students receive ongoing training to familiarize themselves with not just EOP resources and services, but with centers across the UC Berkeley campus as well. Intake Interns also participate in a wide range of programming, learning essential skills in facilitation, coordination, and of course providing peer-to-peer support!
