Academic Counseling Graduate Internship Program

EOP serves as destination site for graduate students enrolled in Educational Psychology and Counseling Masters programs through out the Bay Area.  Every year, our office selects a graduate intern to serve a ten month academic counseling internship (as training placement for programs at San Francisco State, Saint Mary’s, and Cal State East Bay Universities). Interns are expected to work a minimum of 16 hours per week with designated caseload and various program responsibilities.  For more information, please contact Lauryn Holloway at lauryn.holloway@berkeley.edu.

Academic Counseling Apprenticeship Program

In 2009, EOP launched its Academic Counseling Apprenticeship Program.  The program offers a one-year (paid) professional internship to a selected graduating senior interested in a post-secondary counseling or student affairs career. Working under the close supervision of professional staff, the Counseling Apprentice is expected to work 15-19 hours a week and is trained to work with a small caseload of undergraduate students.

EOP also promotes academic counseling development through our Peer Academic Counseling Program.
