Peer Academic Counseling

Interested in becoming a Peer Academic Counselor (PAC)?
To become a PAC, the journey will start with iPAC Internship - a 1-2 unit course in the Spring semester. During these 10 weeks (starting February 1, 2027) you will be trained by our iPAC leads and dive deeper into EOP resources, build academic counseling skills, and learn more about how we make a direct impact on our student communities..

If you are interested in continuing to support the PAC team, completing the internship in good standing. The internship is the required pathway to become a hired PAC that is a paid position. As a Peer Academic Counselor, you’ll also have the opportunity to work on projects that align with your career goals while supporting fellow students.

Step 1: Complete the iPAC Internship:
Applications open mid-September and close mid-October. We are currently accepting applications! Application Link: tinyurl.com/EOPiPAC27. They close 10/16/26. *Deadline extended to 10/19/26**
After receiving your application, we will notify candidates who advanced to the second round, there will be a short interview process where we can learn more about your and your interest in the internship. The internship takes place during the spring semester, and it is 1-2 units to learn more about EOP and discover key resources offered here on campus.
Step 2: Becoming a PAC:
Once you complete the internship, you will fill out an application and go through an interview process. The PAC position is a paid job, and if you are offered the position, you will start paid training during the summer. You will also have an opportunity to work on different projects tailored to your interest and future career goals.
