About Fran: Hola a tod@s! My name is Fran Escobar and I am a Junior double majoring in Political Science and Legal Studies. I was born in Guatemala and came to the US in 2017! I grew up in a little town called San Pancho and 4 years in East LA! Coming to UC Berkeley and seeing the resources and representation on campus made me want to be part of a bigger change. Being Part of this amazing team will allow us to create a safe space for Osos at Cal and create unique memories within our community.
About Karla: Hello! I am Karla Vega and I’m currently a junior at UC Berkeley majoring in chemical engineering. Before coming to the Bay, I grew up in Zamora, Michoacan. As a first-generation Latina student, I love how welcoming Berkeley is for its Latino/Hispanic community and wish to spread this feeling of love and belonging to my peers.
